Next stop, Fermathe, Haiti. As we drove up the mountains of Bourdon you could feel the temperature dropping every step of the pedal. Artisans line up the hill displaying their unique artwork, carpenters exhibit their hand carved organic furniture, motorbikes race by. Ahhh, welcome to Haiti, welcome to the Auberge sur la Montagne, welcome to paradise.

When you think of Spring Break what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Let me guess… Alcohol? Girls? Getting trashed at a resort for a week? The typical spring break experience can be fun but why not experience something different? More enriching? Less commercial?
To be real, Haiti wasn’t the first place I thought of when I thought of spring break, but after talking to some good friends of mine it makes sense that people would want to go there. Haiti, in essence is paradise.…
